Incident Reported in McKenzie County
BISMARCK, ND – McKenzie Energy Partners, LLC notified the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division of a produced water spill at the Jellesed SWD 1 site. The incident occurred on January 25, approximately 6 miles east of Keene, ND.
McKenzie Energy Partners, LLC reported that 2200 barrels of produced water were released onto location. As of January 26, 2026, 2185 barrels have been recovered.
A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
