BISMARCK, N.D. – The ND Department of Mineral Resources was notified of a produced water spill by Continental Resources in Mountrail County. On March 6, 2023, a Brangus CTB – frac tank butterfly valve released 380 barrels of produced water. The spill was contained to the location, and all visibly contaminated material will be remediated. The cause of the leak was due to human error.
