Incident Reported in Mountrail County
BISMARCK, ND – Hunt Oil Company notified the North Dakota Oil and Gas Division of a brine spill at the Shell 153-89-5-16H-1 well site in Mountrail County. The incident occurred on January 3, approx. 11 miles north of Parshall.
Hunt Oil reported that 2725 barrels of brine were released, contained to the pad, and 1170 barrels have been recovered.
A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
