Environmental Incident Reported in McKenzie County

BISMARCK, ND – The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a facility fire occurring Thursday, October 23 at the Bosque Brice SWD 1 injection well site, at 1866 Bear Den Rd, Keene, Watford City, ND.

Bosque Water Systems reported Thursday that 2000 barrels of brine and 500 barrels of skim oil were released into containment.

A North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality inspector has been to the location and has reported no off-pad contamination.

A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor any additional cleanup required.
