Incident Reported in McKenzie County
BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of equipment failure occurring, Wednesday, January 17 at McKenzie County, North Dakota.
Slawson Exploration Company reported on Thursday, January 18 that equipment failure caused the spill of 298 bbls of produced water. The spill was contained within the tank battery berm.
A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor the clean-up and remediation.
