Incident Reported in Dunn County

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Oil and Gas Division was notified of a produced water Spill occurring Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Deep Creek/Jorgenson 44X-5 well.  

XTO Energy reported Tuesday, October 24, 2023, that an estimated 1030 bbls of produced water was released into containment and that it was all recovered.

The incident was from a corroded plug.

A North Dakota Oil and Gas inspector has been to the location and will monitor the cleanup.
