MM-45  

Geophysical Maps of North Dakota: Bouger and Isostatic Gravity Anomaly and Aeromagnetic Anomaly, by Anderson, F.J., 2024, 3 pl. These three potential field maps have been created from available gravity and aeromagnetic data published by the U.S. Geological Survey in Open-File Report 03-249. These maps have been compiled in a spatially accessible format at the 1:1,000,000 scale to aid future economic geologic exploration and basement mapping investigations.

Prehistoric Life of North Dakota, by John W. Hoganson and Brett Woodward, 2004. This full-color 8½” x 11" sheet provides an introduction to the fascinating history of the procession of life in North Dakota back to about 90 million years ago. Images of prehistoric animals are superimposed on the North Dakota geologic map in areas where fossils of the animals have been found. The history of life in North Dakota based on the fossil record is briefly summarized on the reverse side of the map. The rock formations from which the fossils of the animals figured on the map and age of the animals are also presented on the reverse side of the map. $ .25
