Sentinal Butte Habitat
Pond habitat 60 million years ago in North Dakota. Champsosaurs, turtles, fish, etc. lived in these ponds. Bald-cypress, Magnolia (white flower), Ginkgo, etc. grew along the margins. Mammals and birds lived in the forests. Painting by Julie Martinez. Courtesy of SMM.
